Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend ahead!  Time is certainly zipping by these days!  Anyway, I am here today with my weekly DT post for the Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  Since it's the last Friday of the month, the theme is "anything goes" with the option to add a Christmas twist.    The only requirement is that you have some coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project.

Here is mine with the Christmas/Winter twist:

My card base and mats are SU Not Quite Navy and the patterned papers are from the Authentique Winter 6x6 pad.  The cute image is Winter Cocoa from Sami Stamps, our sponsor this month.  Samantha generously provided the DT with an image to use and this is the one I chose.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added glitter to the trim on her hood and mittens and used some Shabby White Fran-Tage around the edges of the image for even more sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  A taffeta bow and a few gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Alcohol Markers Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from my teammies, Dawn, Linda and Penny!  We hope you will play along this week!  It's your last chance to get in the running for an awesome prize from Sami Stamps.  Samantha is offering a $12 GC to purchase digis from her shop.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp #195 (sketch)
Sami Stamps Challenge #010 (a touch of glitter)
Party Time Tuesdays #161 (anything goes)

And here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Purely Pomegranate and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Plum Seed collection.  The adorable image is Miss Mary Contrary, one of the new Little Cottage Cuties by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps.  I was lucky enough to have won her during the release blog hop.  I stamped her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added a bit of Silver Stickles to the silver bells to make them sparkle a little.  I colored in the grass with my Copics, also.  A few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Alcohol Markers Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  We don't have anything special going on this weekend, so hopefully it will give me time to catch up.  Anyway, I am here this morning with my DT card for this week's Alcohol Markers Challenge at The Outlawz.  The theme this week is "things with wings".  You can interpret that as you wish, but please remember, you must have coloring with alcohol markers (any brand) on your project to enter.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Fresh Asparagus and the patterned papers are from the Webster's Pages Nature's Storybook Petite Papers pack.  I stitched around all the panels.  The gorgeous image is Spring Nocturne by ching chou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps. I printed her on MiC Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I was trying to practice my skin and hair coloring and referred to Alyce's fantastic video tutorial where she colored this same image. I can't come close to her exquisite coloring, but it's always good to practice!  Thanks for the inspiration, Alyce!  I hope you don't mind I used the same colors as you did!  I added some vintage lace and a few pearls from my stash.  A dyed seam binding bow and a vintage earring finished my card.

Orchid Fairy

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  If you are looking for my Little Miss Muffet DT post, please scroll down one post.  I have a card to share that I made for a few challenges.  One of them was ending soon, so I wanted to get it in.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Sage Shadow and the glittery and shimmery patterned papers are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden 6.5x6.5 pad.  The stunning image is Orchid Fairy with Butterfly Wings from AuroraWings.  Mitzi has so many gorgeous digital stamps in her AuroraWings Etsy shop!  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Star Dust, Icicle, Diamond and Crystal Stickles to the bubbles, wings and her dress to make them sparkle.  I tried to add shimmer to the orchids with Viva Décor Rose Inka-Gold, but you can hardly see it in the photo and it dulled the coloring a little, I think.  Finally, I spritzed the whole image with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist (also hard to see).   I didn't add any embellishments as this had enough going on already.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I'll be around shortly to visit.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Card Makin' Mamas (make it sparkle)
Crafting From The Heart #7 (anything goes; flowers)
Digi Galore (Wings)
Kit and Clowder February Challenge (any colored image)
Stamps by AuroraWings February FB Challenge (favorite flowers)

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope you're having a good week so far!  It's been kind of busy for me, but I am still managing to get a few projects done in the craft room.  I am here now to share an inspiration card I made for the Digi Bells blog as part of my ongoing GDT term.

Elphine House Australia Challenge #55

Hi again!  Hope you've had a good day!  I'm back with my DT card for the new Elphine House Australia Challenge.  The theme for this month's challenge is "make your own background".  You can draw or color a scene, create your own paper or mixed media background, the sky's the limit, but you just can't use any pre-printed patterned paper.

Here is my card:

All who know me know that I love my patterned paper and I feel a bit lost creating without it!  This one had me stumped for a bit, for sure!  I decided to create my "background" by layering lots of ornate diecuts, in alternating Pool Party and White cardstock.  I used Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-Five for the layers.  The adorable image is Katrina My Sister Shasha from Elphine House Australia.  It's the perfect image not only for sisters, but for best friends, too!  I stamped the image on MiC Blending Card and colored it with my Copics before cutting it out with the die.  I added a few White Paint Pen highlights and a triple-loop seam binding bow to finish my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Elphine House Challenge blog and feast your eyes on the gorgeous creations from Lynda, Lynne and Julie.  We hope you will play along with us this time.  The only requirements are to follow the theme and use an Elisabeth Bell image (any company).  You have until Tuesday, March 18th, Brisbane time to enter your project.

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
Papertake Weekly (lovely layers)

Cafe de Paris

Good morning!  Happy Sunday!  Hope you've had a good weekend so far!  We've been pretty busy, so hoping that today will be a day to relax.  It is supposed to get near 60 later!  Sorry to mention that, especially to my friends and family who got hit with yet another snow storm yesterday. Crazy! Anyway, I am popping in quickly to share the card I made for this month's Make it Colourful Challenge #6.  As always, there is an easy and hard component to the challenge.  The easy challenge was to color with browns and the hard challenge was to color the entire image in brown like a sepia photograph.  Even skin tones had to be sepia.  I decided to give the sepia look a try and combine the two parts of the challenge. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Chocolate Chip and the barely-visible patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Madison Avenue 6x6 pad.  I created a scene to color by merging a cropped version of the Café de Paris Digi Stamp with Seductive Barbs from the new Carefree Woman collection, all from Make it Crafty, of course.  I printed the merged image on MiC Blending Card and colored it using only E markers (E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49). It sure was hard coloring her skin with these markers!  I didn't add any sentiment or embellishments so the scene would be the main focus.

Here is a close-up of the colored scene:

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be around a little later to catch up on your blogs!

Have a great day!

Good morning!  Happy Saturday!  Did you do anything special for Valentine's Day?  We cooked in and just had a quiet night and that was perfect with me, especially after traveling last weekend.  Anyway, I am here now to share my DT card for this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge.  Our sponsor this time is Dilly Beans and the prize is three digis of the winner's choice.

Here is Vannessa's fantastic sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

My card base and mats are SU Rose Red and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste "Adorbs" 6x6 pad.  The striking image is Elly Framed from Dilly Beans.  Megan generously provided me with the image for my card.  I printed it on MiC Blending Card and colored with my Copics.  I didn't add a sentiment for now.  A few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and a few pink iridescent gems finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the colored image:
