Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday - the last one in 2012!  Can you believe it?  We begin a whole new year on Tuesday!  Where did the time go this past year?  I've got quite a busy day today, so I'm popping in first thing to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  It is our last challenge of the month (and the year) and the theme is "anything goes".  We know this theme is very popular, so we hope to see a great turn-out to wrap up the year!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Dark Brown and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Festivus 6x6 pad.  My cute image is Just For You from Birdie Brown, our wonderful sponsor this month.  It was one of the freebies Torico generously shared on her blog in November.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added Glossy Accents to the man's glasses and some Crystal Snow Gitter to the snow on the ground.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of Paulette's Taste of the Clubs this past summer.   Some green satin ribbon and three buttons with stitched ribbon bows finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fantastic creations from my very-talented DT sistahs!  We hope you will play along with our last challenge of the year!  It is your last chance to be in the running for the awesome prize from our December sponsor, Birdie Brown!   One lucky participant in the December challenges will win their choice of 5 digi images from the Birdie Brown Etsy shop.  Torico is on a holiday break right now so I can't link up her shop, but she will be back on January 7.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #186 (sketch)
Charisma Cardz #51 (anything goes)
Paper Crafting Journey (anything goes)
Stampin' For The Weekend #24 (anything goes)

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #51

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  I can't believe Christmas is behind us and New Year's Eve is only days away!  I hope you are all still enjoying the holiday season and looking forward to the start of a whole new year!  After a little break, we are back with a new challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog.  The theme for our final challenge of 2012 is "anything goes"!  We know you all love this one, so we hope to see a great turn-out!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Wild Wasabi and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Festivus 6x6 pad.  I created a winter background scene with a few digistamps from Make It Crafty (Festive Lantern, Winter Seat, Large Pine Tree and Small Pine Tree).  My cute image is Sonny Honeycloud Mistletoe from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  She's definitely not just for Christmas - I think she works perfectly for any winter theme!  I printed the whole merged image on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored everything with my Copics.  I added some different types of "snow" for added texture, including Liquid Applique and Polar White Flower Soft.  I used Crystal Snow Glitter on the trim on her coat and boots.   The falling snowflakes are White Opal Liquid Pearls.  A few red gems from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of Sonny Honeycloud:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog and check out the awesome creations from the rest of the DT and our special guest designers, Alethea, Lucy and Margreet!  We hope you will play along with us!  You have until Tuesday, January 8 to enter your take on our "anything goes" challenge.

Merry Bah Humbug!

Hi there!  Well, I have had a bit of a day ('nuff said...) and tomorrow threatens to be no better, so I am here a little early to post my DT card for the Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "Bah, Humbug" in honor of National Bah Humbug Day (yes, there is such a thing)!    Think Scrooge, stingy, grumpy, you get the picture!  Take the theme where it leads you, but be sure to use alcohol markers for your coloring.  Any brand is fine.  I must confess, I may have looked a bit like this trying to get my cards done this week!

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Cranberry Crisp and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Christmas Day 6x6 pad.    My fun "bah, humbug" image is "Merry Christmas To You, Too..." from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Mo has a couple of Scrooge images, but I love this one!  You can find him in Mo's store here.  I printed him on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored him with my Copics.  I added a bit of Glossy Accents to his glasses and highlighted the metallic knobs with my Letraset Silver Metallic Marker.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Bahhhh Humbug set in Paulette's store here.  Some stitched ribbon and a few adhesive pearls finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the fantastic " bah, humbug" creations from my talented DT  sistahs here.  We hope you will still be able to play along during this busy time!  Our December challenges are being sponsored by Torico of Birdie Brown.  One lucky participant in our challenges will win 5 digis of their choice from Birdie Brown.  Torico has lots of adorable images to choose from in her Etsy shop here. As always, there are lots of fabulous site-wide prizes to be won when you enter any of the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Good morning!  Happy Wednesday!  Hope your week is going well so far and you are not too stressed that Christmas is less than a week away!  I know some of my blogging friends have been done with your preparations for ages now! I am taking my final batch of cards and gifts to the P.O. this morning, so I am feeling a little better about getting everything done before the big day arrives.  Anyway, today it's my turn to post my GDT card on The Digi Bells blog.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from the Carta Bella Winter Fun 6x6 pad.  My adorable image is Frosty The Snowman from Elisabeth Bell's Digital Collection.  You can find it here, along with lots of other wonderful digital images by Elisabeth Bell.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added lots of snow glitter to the pom poms and trim on their snowsuits and hats.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is another from the recent Winter Club.  A few snowflakes punched from glitter paper with gems in their centers finished my card.

Merry and Bright Christmas

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Well, despite working on them all day yesterday, I am still not done with my Christmas cards.  Most are ready to go, but as always, I found I was a couple cards short when I double-checked my final list.  So I'm having to make up a couple of quick cards before I head to the post office today.

Here is one that I have completed:

My card base and mats are SU Handsome Hunter and the patterned papers are from the Bo Bunny Rejoice 6x6 pad.  Being short on time, I used one of the gorgeous new Whimsy Prints I won a couple of weeks ago!  I picked Chloe's Little Light from the Elisabeth Bell Christmas Joy Whimsy Prints Collection.  The darling images in this set are all hand-colored by Whimsy Stamps Senior Designer, Simonne Clay, then digitally reproduced so they are all ready to add to your cards!  I couldn't come close to Simonne's wonderful coloring if I tried!  I added some Liquid Pearls and Stickles here and there as accents. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of the recent Winter Club.  A simple bow finished my card.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Friday Sketch Challenge #32 (Angela's sketch)
Whimsy Stamps Challenge #54 (anything goes but must be festive)
The Squirrel and The Fox #33 (Christmas)

Here is FSC #32:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be around to your blogs later as soon as I get home.

Have a great day!

Good morning!  Happy Monday!  Hope you had a nice weekend and your week is off to a great start.!  I'm still scrambling, so my post will be short this morning.  I'm popping in to share a card I made to add to my Christmas card stash.  I'm nearing the end finally, but I am still way behind on the mailing part.

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Lipstick Red and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Bright Christmas 6x6 pad.  The adorable image is a digi called Snowman Couple from QKR Stampede.  It was one of the stamps I won in a challenge recently.  I printed the cute couple on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored them with my Copics.  I added lots of Stickles for extra sparkle and some Polar White Flower Soft for the snow.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of the recent Winter Club.  Some chevron ribbon and a dimensional ornament sticker finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Copic/Promarker Challenge - New Year's Resolutions

Hi again!  As promised, I am back with my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.  This week's theme is "New Year's Resolutions".  It's time to move beyond Christmas and think about the new year!  My real New Year's resolution is not to wait until the last minute to do my Christmas cards, but here is my card with another resolution on the list.

My card base and mats are SU Night of Navy and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Moments 6x6 pad.  The fun image is Yoga Girl from Saturated Canary.  I got it from Krista's shop here, but it does not appear to be available at the moment.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It think it was a freebie a few months ago.  A simple bow and a few pearls from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Merry Christmas Tree

Hi again!  I'm back with the quickest of posts to share a card I made mostly to add to my Christmas card stash, but that fits a couple of challenges, too.  It is for Paper Crafting Journey (Christmas projects), Charisma Cardz #49 (Christmas makes) and Simon Says Stamp Challenge (what's your favorite - mine is glitter).

Here is my card:

My card base and mats are GKD Red Hot and the patterned papers are from the Recollections Bright Christmas 6x6 pad.  The cute Christmas tree is from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  Mabelle generously shared it on her blog as a freebie at the end of November.  I printed it on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored it with my Copics.  I added all kinds of glitter to the image to make it sparkle (Red and Aqua Stickles, Stamp La Jolla Christmas Red and New Fallen Snow and Recollections Fine Glitter to the grass in the pot).  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the recent Winter Club.  A few red gems finished my nice flat, mailable card!

Here is a close-up of the cute tree:

Thanks for stopping by again!  I will be back tomorrow with my DT posts for Guylou's Inimitability and the Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.

Have a great evening!

Little Miss Muffet - New Challenge

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  As always, it's very early Thursday for me, but it's time to share my DT post for the Little Miss Muffet blog.  We have a new challenge starting today and the theme is "Christmas".  If you are like me and still trying to finish your Christmas cards, then this is the challenge for you!

Here is my Christmas creation:

My card base and mats are SU Gumball Green and the bright patterned papers are from the Recollections Bright Christmas 6x6 pad.   I followed the fun sketch from The Corrosive Challenge blog, not realizing it was supposed to be for a design team call.  It's still a great sketch and I was challenged with all the diagonal panels!  Anyway, my cute image is Sonny Honeycloud For You from the Honeycloud Teens line from Pollycraft.  You can find her in the Little Miss Muffet store.  This was one of the new rubber stamps released last week, but I used a digi version for my card.  I printed her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I added Aqua Stickles to the gift and tag and the tabs on her boots.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is another from the recent Winter Club.  A few dimensional ornament stickers finished my holiday card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  I really appreciate your visits especially during this busy time!  Be sure to visit the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog and check out the fabulous card my teammates and out wonderful guests, Lucy and Chris, made for your inspiration! We hope you can find time to play along! You have until Monday, December 24th to enter your project.

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Oozak Challenge #9 (anything goes with red)
Forever Friends Fortnighly #51 (Christmas cards)
Forever Friends Monthly Challenge (Christmas cards)
Divas by Design #65 (use red)

Vintage Tri-fold Shutter Card

Hi again!  Amazingly, I'm back with another post today.  In a bit of down time today, I was browsing my blogs and I saw a wonderful project from the very talented, Selma here.  I looked at the tutorial and knew I didn't have time to attempt it, but I kept thinking of it all during the day and when I got home, I decided to give it a go. Who needs dinner anyway?  I tweaked Selma's dimensions a little to fit the images I wanted to use, but otherwise kept everything the same.

Here is the inside view of my version:

Here is a top view:

And finally, a front view:

My card base is SU Ruby Red and the inside base and mats are retired SU Forest Foliage.  All of the patterned papers are from the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium 8x8 pad.  The four vintage sentiments are from Create With TLC. They are all part of the Ornately Christmas set in Paulette's store here.    I let the papers do all the work and only added a triple-loop sheer Antique Gold bow to finish my creation.

Thanks for stopping by again!  I am slowly making my way through your blogs so if I haven't visited yet, I will soon!

I am entering my card in Tammy's Scrapin' Corner Challenge #40 (Christmas shaped cards).

Have a great night and see you soon!
