Create With TLC Blog Hop - Child's Play

Good morning!  The time we've all been waiting for has finally arrived!  It's time for another Create With TLC Blog Hop! Paulette and the TLC Creations Design Team have lots of inspiration and goodies to share with you today!  Our theme this time is "Child's Play".  If you arrived here from Marsha's fantastic blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning at the Create with TLC blog and hop from there so you don't miss a single thing!  Paulette has generously provided all the digi images we have used on our creations as freebies that you can pick up at every stop.  To download the images, simply click on the image then right click and save it to your computer.

Here is the "child's play" image I worked with:
Here is my creation:

I started with a card base of SU Old Olive and layered with patterned paper from the Webster's Pages Lullaby Lane Petite Papers pack.  I thought it was perfect with all the sweet vintage kids at play on it!  I printed Paulette's image, Childhood Sailing Vintage, onto Cryogen White and colored with Copics.  I did a bunch of masking to airbrush the large areas of grass and sky.    The sentiment is also from Create With TLC.  It can be found in Paulette's store here.

Thanks for hopping by!  From here, your next stop is Audrey's wonderful blog.  I know she has something amazing to share with you!   Enjoy the rest of the hop!

If you get lost along the way, here is the full line-up:

Have a great weekend!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

My Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni post is HERE.  You have until midnight tonight to comment to win a $25 GC to the Heartfelt Creations store.

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've got a wonderful weekend planned!  I do - our friends have arrived and we will try to do as much as possible during their brief stay.  Before heading off, I'm here to post my DT project for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz.  It's the last Friday of the month so it's "anything goes" or, as an option, you can pick up the free calendar page that is provided in the challenge thread and make the next page of your calendar.  It's entirely up to you - feel free to go with the anything goes theme if you'd like!

Here is my project:

I decided to make the April page in my 2013 claendar.  I used the adorable image from Mo Manning called Waiting For Rain.  You can find her in Mo's store here.    I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I thought she'd be perfect for "April showers"!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from my super-talented DT sistahs and our wonderful March Geust Designer, Penny.  We hope you will play along with us this week!  We always love seeing your creations and there are always fantastic prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz

Have a great day and see you soon!

Spring Tilda

My Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni post is HERE.

Hi!  Hope you are having a good week so far!  I can't believe it is Wednesday already!  It's sure been busy for me.  We have some dear friends coming to visit from out of town tomorrow and I need to have everything ready before they arrive. I can't wait to have some crafty time with my buddy, too!  It's been too long since we've gotten together!

Anyway, I'm popping in now to share the card I made for a couple of challenges.  It's for the Just Magnolia Challenge #149 (more than one fold), Midweek Magnolias Challenge #4 (sketch) and 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #44 (Shades of Spring).  It's rare that I pull out my Maggies these days, but I knew this cutie was perfect for what I wanted to create.

Here is the Midweek Magnolias Sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I decided on an easel card for my multi-fold creation.  I started with a card base of Papertrey Spring Moss and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Annabelle 6x6 pad.    My darling Magnolia stamp is Tilda Loves Flowers from the Sweet Crazy Love collection.  I stamped her on Cryogen White and colored her with my Copics.  I added some Stickles to the bouquet of flowers for a little sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the You Bring Sunshine set.   Check it out in Paulette's store here.  I added a few pink gems and three Wild Orchid Crafts roses to the front panel to finish it.  I created the easel stop with a border cut with the Cheery Lynn Border Carnivale die.  I punched a couple of butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch and finished them off with a few more pink gems.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening and see you soon!

Retail Therapy

My Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni post is HERE.

I know!  You can't believe I'm back AGAIN!  Neither can I, but I just realized I was going to miss a challenge I like and I'd even made the card already!  I will keep it short and sweet.  My card is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #146, which is being sponsored this week by DigiStamp Boutique.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

My card base is SU Pool Party.  The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Howdy Doody 6x6 pad.  My cute image is Connie Shopping from DigiStamp Boutique. This is one of the images I was lucky enough to have won when Sally-Ann sponsored the challenge previously.  I printed her on Cryogen and colored her with Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles here and there for some sparkle. The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Retail Therapy set which is in Paulette's store here.  Some satin ribbon and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my card.

I promise this is it for the day!  Have a great night and see you soon (but no sooner than tomorrow - lol)!

Here is the Card Patterns sketch:

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of GKD Lipstick Red and layered with patterned papers from the Kaisercraft Miss Nelly 6.5 x 6.5 pad.  My fun Saturated Canary image from Krista is Stella (& Jello - I cropped out Jello for this one).  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added some Glossy Accents to her big glasses.  My sentiment is from Create With  TLC.  It is part of the Embrace Your Crazy set that is new in Paulette's store here.  I added some Baker's Twine and a couple of buttons from my stash to finish my card.

Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni Blog Hop

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  It's the last Tuesday of the month which means it's time for another Heartfelt Creations Design Team Alumni blog hop!  Each month, several former Heartfelt Creations designers get together and share projects made with some our our favorite Heartfelt Creations products.  If you arrived here from Olga's blog, you are in the right place.  If not, you should head over and hop from there, because Olga is the first stop on the hop and you wouldn't want to miss her gorgeous creation.

Here is my card for the hop:

I kept my design simple so I could showcase the beautiful iris.  I started with a card base of SU Eggplant Envy and layered with a panel of Cryogen White Iridescent that was embossed with a Sizzix Ornate Frames embossing folder.  I stamped the oval-framed iris from HCPC 3371 Dutch Iris Oval PreCut Set onto Cryogen White with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped the single iris from HCPC 3373 Dutch Iris Medley and also colored it with Copics.  I cut out and matted the oval with Spellbinders Petite Oval dies.  I cut out the single iris with HCD 7011 Decorative Dutch Iris Die and popped it up over the base iris.  I added a bit of Stickles to the flower center.  The sentiment is from HCPC 3389 Sentiments For Mom PreCut set.

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop on the hop is Selma's wonderful blog.  Be sure to leave a comment on every blog as you are hopping because one comment will be chosen at random from all of the blogs and the lucky commenter will win a $25 gift certificate for the Heartfelt Creations store!  Your chance to comment ends on Friday, March 30 at midnight EDT and the winner will be announced on our blogs by noon EDT on Saturday, March 31.

If you get lost along the way, here is the whole line-up for the hop:

Treat Me Like a Queen

Hi there!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  I felt like the weekend was way too short!  I'm popping in tonight to share the card I made for a couple of challenges.  It is for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #31 (silhouettes or anything goes with LMM stamps) and the Colour Create Challenge #92 (Pink, Blue, Sage and White/Cream).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of SU Not Quite Navy and layered with patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Miss Nelly 6.5 x 6.5 pad.   I printed the Victorian Chaise from Make it Crafty onto Cryogen White and colored it with Copics.  I masked the chaise then airbrushed the background.  The elegant mademoiselle is La Jeune Fille a l'Eventail from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I was lucky to have won this stamp during the special Paris Release.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Cryogen and colored her with Copics.  I added some Star Dust Stickles to her hat, fan and brooch and I also added a spot of Pink Liquid Pearls to the brooch center.  I cut her out and popped her up on the chaise.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  Some shimmery sheer ribbon, a Webster's Pages Sparkler and a few wild Orchid Crafts roses finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to see you again soon!

Happiness Is...

Hello, again!  This is my second post today so if you are looking for my Guest Designer card for the Our Creative Corner challenge, please click here or scroll down one post.  I am back to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I like to do.  First, it is for the current Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (layers).  It is also for Sketch Saturday #200 and Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Let's Play Bingo).

Here is SS-200:

And here is the Bingo card for SSS:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I flipped the sketch, then started with a card base of GKD Red Hot and layered with patterned paper from the October Afternoon Sidewalks 8x8 pad.  My sweet image is from Sheet 257 from Whoopsi Daisy.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added a bit of Stickles and some Liquid Pearls here and there.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  For the Bingo, I chose the downward diagonal - flowers, lace and ribbon/twine.  I added lace, rick rack (ribbon) and a few Wild Orchid Crafts roses to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you soon!

Guest Designer - Our Creative Corner Challenge

Good morning!  Hope your weekend is off to a great start!  Mine is off to an early start - well, really, I hope I am still sleeping when this posts!  I am so excited because I was invited to be Guest Designer at Our Creative Corner this week!  Anita is the hostess and the theme is "spring break vacation destination".  Here is what Anita had to say about the challenge: "Spring has sprung yet again!  It's time to take that annual well-deserved vacation.  Where would your postcard come from?  Make whatever you like and show us your "spring break vacation destination".  What a fun challenge!

Here is my card for the challenge:

Obviously, I chose Paris as my destination.  I'd love to be vacationing in a quaint B&B near the Eiffel Tower! I started with a card base of SU Bordering Blue and layered with patterned paper from the Prima Le Romantique 8x8 pad.  For my Paris scene, I merged three digi images: French Cottage and Eiffel Tower Digi Stamps from Make it Crafty and Sophia from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. They were all part of the special Paris release from Three Companies Team Up. I printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored the scene with Copic markers.  I added some Glossy Accents to the windows and a bit of Summer Flower Soft to the foliage for a spot of color.  A diecut from Spellbinders Parisian Accents and a double-loop satin bow finished off my vacation "postcard".

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Our Creative Corner Challenge blog and check out the gorgeous creations from the amazingly-talented DT!  I'm sure they would love it you played along!

Have a great weekend and hope to see you soon!

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope your day is off to a great start!  It's been raining cats and dogs here for the last day and today looks to be the same.  That's OK - it's perfect for a quiet day of crafting (or cleaning).  We'll see which wins out!  Before I get started, I'm popping in to share my DT card for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge on The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is Easter - Bunnies - Chocolate.  I went with the Easter theme since I still need a couple of Easter cards.

Here is my card:

I followed the sketch from the CMC Birthday Bash Day 4 over on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom site. You should definitely check out the Birthday Bash festivities there!  Suzanne is celebrating two years of the site with lots of fun games and events and some fabulous prizes!  Here is the sketch:

I started with a card base of SU Soft Sky and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Le Romantique 8x8 pad.  I love the soft, vintage papers in this pad!  My image is Easter Girl With Bunny from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Bunnies Are Unique set and can be found in Paulette's store here.  I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added different colors or Liquid Pearls to the eggs in her basket to give them some dimension.  The sentiment is also from Create With TLC.  It is part of the Easter Filled Wishes set in the store here.  Both the image and sentiment were goodies from the April Club that are now available in the store.  A satin bow and little rose from my stash finished my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Copic/Promarker Challenge thread and check out the gorgeous samples from my super-talented DT sistahs and our wonderful Guest Designer, Penny.  We sure hope you will be inspired to play along with us!  We always love seeing your wonderful designs and there are some terrific prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!  Hope to see you there!

Have a great day!

Mo's DP2 Challenge #127 - Bling It On

Good morning!  Can it be Thursday again already?  It's been such a busy week that it has just flown by!  But you know Thursday is my happy day because it is time for a new Mo's Challenge!  Debbie is our hostess again this week and her theme is "bling it on".  Definitely a fun one!

Here is my card for the challenge:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Aqua Mist and layered with patterned papers from the My Mind's Eye Love Me 6x6 pad.  My sweet Mo's image is Kansas.  She can be found in Mo's store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copic markers.  I added some bling to Dorothy's ruby slippers with red Stickles.  A big blingy flourish and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my card.

My card is also for Sketch Saturday #199 and The Corrosive Challenge #145 (inspired by a fairy tale, fable or children's story - mine is The Wizard of Oz).

Here is SS-199 (which I flipped 90 degrees):

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Mo's Challenge blog and check out the blingy creations from my amazingly-talented teammies!  Why not grab your favorite Mo's image and play along with us?  We love to see your creations each week!  And you could be the lucky winner of a GC to Mo's store!

Walking On Sunshine

Good morning!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope you are having a good day so far!  I managed to finish another card I was working on, so I thought I'd pop by and share it here.  It is for the Belles 'n Whistles Monthly Challenge (use butterflies), the Digi Bells March Release Blog Hop (use flowers), the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge #43 (anything goes) and the Aud Sentiments Challenge #50 (sentiment that represents a song).

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of some pink cardstock from Archiver's but I failed to write down the color when I got it.  I layered with patterned papers from the Basic Grey Hello Luscious 6x6 pad.  My Elisabeth Bell image is Belles 'n Whistles Patches and Braids.  I stamped her on Copic Xpress It Blending Card and colored her with Copic markers.  I added a little Stickles here and there for some sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It is from the Encore set which can be found in Paulette's store here.  I thought it would be perfect for the Aud Sentiments song title challenge.  I added a bunch of flowers from my stash and three rhinestone butterflies to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day and I hope to see you soon!

Cafe de Paris

Hi there!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  It's already been busy here and even though it's late, I still managed to finish a card I was making for a couple of challenges - the Make it Colourful Challenge #47 (Color Green) and the Copic Challenge #39 on Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative Classroom (anything goes).

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Fresh Asparagus and layed with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Boxer 6x6 pad.  For my focal image, I merged two digis from the recent Paris release from Three Companies Team Up (Whimsy Stamps, Make it Colourful and Little Miss Muffet Stamps).  I enlarged and cropped the Cafe de Paris Digi Stamp from Make it Crafty then added the elegant Evelyn from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.  I colored most everything in shades of green.  I think I used almost every green and yellow-green Copic I have - lol!  I added a bit of Stickles to her hat, shoes and jewelry for a little sparkle.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  I believe it was one of the freebies Paulette generously offered recently.  I thought it was perfect for my Parisian scene.  Some lace and a few Wild Orchid Crafts roses finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be hopping by to visit a little more tomorrow.  Today just got away from me!

See you soon!

Paris in Springtime

Hi again!  I didn't think I'd be back today because we've been gone all day and are going back out shortly, but I wanted to pop in to share the card I made for a couple of challenges I try to do when I have time.  It is for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge #30 (easel, step or shaped cards), Craft Your Passion Challenge #101 (easel card) and Bunny Zoe's Monthly challenge (vintage/shabby chic).

Here is my easel card for the challenges:

I started with an easel card base of SU River Rock and layered with patterned papers from the Prima Le Romantique 8x8 pad.  I created my little Paris scene with 3 images: Emily Rose Hatter and Penny Farthing from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and Ivy Window Wall from Make it Crafty.  They were all part of the recent Paris release from Three Companies Team Up (Whimsy Stamps, Make it Crafty and Little Miss Muffet Stamps).  I was lucky to have won several digis and rubber stamps from Little Miss Muffet during their Paris blog hop.  Thanks, Barbara! I merged the three images then printed the merged image on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics.  I added a triple loop bow of hand-dyed seam binding and some Wild Orchids Crafts roses and Gold Filgree Corners for a vintage look.  The easel stop was made with the Cheery Lynn Border Carnivale die.  I added a few more roses to that to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you soon!

Staying Young

Hi there!  Hope you're having a great day!  I'm back with another quick post because I wanted to share the card I made for a couple of challenges and the deadline for one of them is fast approaching!  My card is for Sketch Saturday #198, Simon Says Stamp (a bit of green) and the new challenge on Guylou's Inimitability blog (monochromatic).

Here is SS-198:

And here is my card for the challenges:

I flipped the sketch to vertical.  I started with a card base of SU Certainly Celery and layered with patterned papers from the GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul food 8x8 pad.  My image is Leah At The Cocktail Party from Guylou's Inimitabilty.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added some Glossy Accents to the glass and some Crystal Stickles to look like salt on the rim of her margarita.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It's part of the Random Thoughts 4 set in Paulette's store here.  I added a bunch of flowers from my stash to finish my card.

Copic/Promarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  Hope you've had a great week and you have fun plans for the weekend!  Looks like more nice weather for us.  I hope to have time to get out and enjoy it!  Meanwhile, I'm here to share my DT project for this week's Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  This week's theme is "humor".  We also have something special for you this week!  Our very own, very talented DT member, Jo, has put together a fun tutorial on how to make a card folio from a pocket folder.  As always, this part is optional, but I encourage you to check out Jo's tutorial in the challenge thread.  It is fun and easy and very useful, too!

Here is my project:

I wanted to try Jo's tutorial so I made a folio.  Rather than for cards, I thought it would make a great holder for store coupons, gift certificates, special offers, etc.  I don't know about you, but I end up stuffing all those coupons here and there and then I never have them when I get to the store.  I started with a blue double pocket folder and covered the front with patterned paper from the Basic Grey Aged & Confused Phresh & Phunky collection.  My fun image is Ruby Tidbits - Overdrawn from Bugaboo Stamps.  She can be found in the Buguboo store here.  I printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added some sparkle to her bags with Spica pens and some Glossy Accents to her glasses.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  It is from her Retail Therapy set which can be found in the Create With TLC store here.  I created my closure with a couple of jumbo eyelets and some ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Copic/Promarker Challenge and check out the fabulous creations from my wonderful teammies and our very talented Guest Designer, Penny!  You will also find Jo's terrific video tutorial and PDF linked there.  We hope you'll come and play along with us!  There are lots of awesome prizes up for grabs each month when you play along with the challenges at The Outlawz!

Have a great day and weekend and see you soon!

Mo's DP2 Challenge - Button & Bows

Good morning!  Happy Thursday!  My Thursdays always start off well, because Thursday means it's time for another fun Mo's Challenge!  I'm going to be out most of the day, so I'm getting here early to share my DT card for this week's challenge.  Debbie is our hostess this week and she chose the theme of "buttons & bows".  Fun, huh?

Here is my card:

I started with a card base of Papertrey Aqua Mist and layered with patterned papers from the October Afternoon Fly A Kite 8x8 pad.  My adorable Mo's image is Singin' In The Rain.  She's brand new and can be found in Mo's store here.  I Printed her on Cryogen White and colored her with Copics.  I added a bit of Aqua Stickles to the umbrella and some Glossy Accents to her cute little rain boots.  The sentiment is from Paulette at Create With TLC.  I added two bows and a button from my stash and that was it.  Oh, and I used this week's Card Patterns Sketch #156 for my layout.  The center circle in the background is a paper doily, also from my stash.  Here is the CP sketch:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Mo's Challenge blog and check out the always amazing creations from my teammies!  We sure hope you'll get busy and play along with us!  We are always inspired by your wonderful designs!

Have a great day and see you soon!

Happy Easter

Hi again!  I'm back with a second post today.  Sorry about that, but there was a challenge I wanted to enter and it closes soon.  I had made my card, but didn't have a chance to load it before now.  It is for Sweet Sketch Wednesday #144.  It is also for this week's Whoopsi Daisy Challenge (punch it out) and Digital Tuesday #151 (think spring).

Here is the SSW sketch:

Here is my card for the challenges:

I started with a card base of GKD Lovely Lavender and layered with SU Gable Green and patterned papers from the Best Creations A Walk In The Park 6x6 pad.  I just love the pretty spring colors and sparkle of these papers!  My image is from Whoopsi Daisy.  It was generously offered by Linnie as a freebie for one of the previous challenges and I never got to use it then.    I printed it on Cryogen White and colored with Copic markers.  I added Stickles here and there for some extra sparkle.  It looks great in real life, but the glitter made it hard to get a good photo.    I used three different punches - Martha Stewart's Arch Lattice Edge Punch and Butterfly Punch and a McGill mini tulip punch.   The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  It was part of Paulette's April Club.  An orchid satin bow finished off my card.

Thanks for stopping by again!  Have a great evening and I'll see you soon.
